Dr. Kashani was born in Kerman Persia (Iran). He served in the military for 2 years as a dentist and then moved to the United States. Dr. Kashani received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tehran University. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a master’s degree in prosthodontics and periodontics.
After graduating, from the University of Iowa, Dr. Kashani moved to New York City where he practiced for 5 years. While in New York, he was an Associate Professor at New York University. Dr. Kashani moved to California in 1983. In addition to practicing periodontics, he is currently a Clinical Professor for the University of California, San Francisco’s School of Periodontology.
Dr. Kashani has the ability to treat very difficult cases successfully. He utilizes advanced technology to treat cases with new medications, grafting material and techniques. He has also designed several techniques for cosmetic periodontics.

The reception staff is VERY friendly and approachable (I am very shy so it’s hard for me sometimes, but the people here made me feel very comfortable).
I saw Dr. Kashani for a difficult periodontal procedure. He is a super nice guy, his assistants are also super great! I’ve been to a few periodontists over the years; Kashani is certainly my favorite.
